April 26, 2017 @ 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeSouth Royalton Market and BALE (Building a Local Economy) are co-sponsoring this free event (donations welcome). Light snacks will be provided to enjoy the film and short discussion that follows. The Commons @ BALE, South Royalton on Wed., Apr. 26 at 7:15 PM.
South Royalton Market was founded by community members in 2001 as an independent, local food co-op. We are supported by all of our customers and owned by our members. We reach out to the wider community through donations to senior centers, food pantries, and other organizations.
In the South Royalton Market, on the web, in the community, and at your table, we want to help you find food to nourish your body and spirit.
Grounded in gratitude and deep awareness of our planetary challenge, BALE (Building A Local Economy) engages in its grassroots community work from our home in the White River watershed of Vermont. BALE believes we needed to build appropriately scaled solutions from the ground up, taking back, as much as possible, our economy, our culture, and our democratic instruments by re-injecting humanity and authentic relationships into all that we do. Bringing all folks, respectfully, to this awareness is the great challenge of our time. BALE sees itself as a very small part of an emerging global story… working for both practical on-the-ground solutions as well as committing to an inside-out approach to fundamental social change.
