Funding/Principal Sponsors

The budget of Food For Change is $300,000, of which $286,000 has been raised to date: $165,000 from 40 food co-ops (Principal Sponsors) contributing in-line with the funding plan; $64,000 from 60 other food co-ops (Contributors); and $57,000 from foundations, organizations and individuals. If your co-op is not one of the Principal Sponsors contributing in-line with the funding plan, please consider increasing your co-op’s contribution.

Our calculations show that 5 more Principal Sponsors will attain the remaining $14,000 needed to meet our budget. Principal sponsors are those contributing in line with the following funding plan:

If more food co-ops contribute according to the funding plan we will have the funds needed to make the best film possible and reach a wide audience. If we do not raise additional funds the film will still be completed. Rights issues and lack of promotion and outreach funds will, however, limit its use.

Co-op contributors of $500 or more will receive:
  • Access to world premiere webcast screening
  • DVDs at production cost
  • Promotional materials, including: trailer, clips from the film, photos, annotated script, poster, and press releases.

Contributions are tax deductible through the project’s non-profit 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association.  All sponsors will be listed in the film’s credits, on the website, and in promotional material.
